In prayer we enter a space of discovering how deeply we are loved, especially as we encounter Jesus Christ who came not to condemn but to save. Whatever the wounds and the fears and the doubts that we carry within us, he meets us just as he met the woman on the way in his three years of public ministry. Pondering what is revealed to us in the gospel, and the ways that great artists over the centuries have depicted the encounters between Christ and the women he loved, may we enter a space of deeper trust that will enable us to surrender ourselves with radical abandon to the God who loves us.
